In order for the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club (RREC) and the Silver Ghost Register (SGR) to organise social events and vehicle related tours on your behalf we require to collect and process the following information:

  • Your Name and Address

  • Your home and mobile telephone numbers

  • Your email address

  • Your Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost (or alternative) vehicle details

 

Most of the personal information The Silver Ghost Register (SGR) accesses will be provided by the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club Ltd (RREC) from existing data files.

 

From time to time and in order to organise events and tours the SGR will also have reason to request and receive personal information directly from you such as dietary or medical requirements.

 

Only when necessary and in order to organise an event or tour on your behalf, will the SGR share this information with event organisers, travel firms and hoteliers and with other members of the SGR.

 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the RREC and SGR relies on your ‘consent’ for requiring and processing this information ‘because it has a legitimate interest’.

 

Important: You are able to remove your name and details from the SGR at any time. You can do this immediately by contacting the RREC directly at  membership@rrec.org.uk

 

Your information is securely stored electronically and encrypted at RREC Head Office, The Hunt House, 70 High Street, Paulerspury, Towcester, NN12 7NA.  The Silver Ghost Registrar accesses your data via an encrypted, remote computer hard drive on loan from the RREC.

 

Your personal information is retained only while you remain a member.  Your information is disposed of by deletion of all data from computer files, hard drives and websites and by formal request from any associated bodies.

 

Your Data Protection Rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

 

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate.

  • You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

  • You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

How to complain

If you have any concerns about our use of your personal information, you can make a complaint in writing to the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club Head Office (RREC), The Hunt House, 70 High Street, Paulerspury, Towcester, NN12 7NA..
